Embarking on an overseas adventure? With eSimmer, you’ve got all your eSIM international roaming needs taken care of, with an overseas travel eSIM. Now, to complete your packing list, download the best travel apps and let your phone become your personal travel concierge.

Whether you're exploring the historic streets of London, or seeking an adventure in Queenstown, New Zealand, we at eSimmer prefer to travel like locals. We seek out regionally focused travel apps, popular with locals to discover more authentic experiences. We can't wait to share our travel journal with you.

In the United Kingdom, we recommend finding your way with the Citymapper App. As the aroma of a spicy curry wafts through the air in Brick Lane, TheFork can help you find the perfect local Indian restaurant tucked away in this vibrant East End neighbourhood.

In New Zealand, if you're in Queenstown and yearning for an exhilarating adventure experience, look no further than the Bookme website, where you can find thrilling activities like bungee jumping and jet boating.

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or a first-time visitor seeking a more local travel experience, check out our blog for the must-have travel apps and you’ll be travelling like a local the moment you touch down.

What is the best eSIM for travelling overseas?

To pick the best eSIM for travelling overseas, consider your data needs, destinations, and the travel duration. At eSimmer, we offer various eSIM international travel plans for you to find your perfect fit. You can enjoy our low data roaming rates and coverage from 2+ networks in most countries. If you’re not sure which eSIM plan is best for you, don’t hesitate to email - support@esimmer.com. Should I get an eSIM for overseas travel?

eSIMs make staying connected while travelling easier and worry-free, who doesn't want that? With mobile data abroad, you can use your apps to call, message, find local spots, and share your trip with friends and family back home. Plus, you can store multiple eSIMs on your phone. This is great if you’re visiting many places in one trip or travel often.

How to use an eSIM for travel?

Once activated, a data-only eSIM from eSimmer will seamlessly connect to the assigned overseas network. This lets you use all your favourite apps like Gmail, Maps and Whatsapp, without any issues, as they run on data. Just ensure your eSimmer international roaming eSIM is turned on, and your phone will act as your personal travel concierge.

How can family and friends contact me while travelling with an eSIM?

While data-only eSIMs don't come with a phone number, your family and friends can stay in touch by calling or sending messages via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc. Staying connected is easy with your eSimmer eSIM.

Will my WhatsApp number change with a travel eSIM?

If you’re travelling and using an eSimmer international data roaming eSIM, your WhatsApp number linked to your home country won’t change. You can continue using WhatsApp with your home number as usual.

Should I take out my SIM card when travelling overseas?

No, it is not necessary to remove your physical SIM card. To avoid extra charges from your home telco, simply don't answer calls and turn data roaming OFF on your home SIM card.
